Welcome to The Classical Christian Tradition. This site intends to be a resource for teachers and parents on the philosophy and practice of classical Christian education. More content will be added as time permits.
Nicholas E. Dellis
I am a husband, father, student and teacher in the classical Christian tradition. I serve as Headmaster at Imago Dei Classical School, a ministry of Missio Dei Fellowship in Kenosha, WI. After serving as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army, I received a Bachelor of Science in Humanities from Boyce College and Master of Arts in Christian Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I believe that God’s people are to seek first the kingdom of God, being faithful to the teachings of Christ whether they are in times of prosperity or persecution. As parents we must seek first to honor God by raising our children in the paideia of the Lord and trust in Him to accomplish His good purpose for their lives. Classical Christian education is a means of bringing order to man’s soul and to his community, functioning as discipleship to God’s people and common grace to those who are not. For those who leave their K-12 education without confessing Christ as Lord, it is my hope that the tastes of truth, goodness, and beauty that they experience in their education may haunt them in their worldly pursuits, reminding them that they will only find true rest for their souls when they find their rest in Christ.
